SILVER

Deborah Smith Ford, here, sharing what I think of acting.
 Personally it's one of many ways I have found gratification,
 but in a way I never dreamed possible.
 Being a former teacher and missionary it was not about self,
 it was about helping others, so helping those
 in the industry has been very rewarding.
 An example of helping has been my envolvement with film
 and telelvision organizations.
 I've been an officer of United Film & Television Artists (UFTA),
a non-profit group since 2003.
 UFTA encourages others to learn and/or hone their skills,
 both in front of and behind the camera.
We've also awarded scholarships to those furthering
 their training in "the world of entertainment."
That in itself has been fulfilling for me, and any acting
 projects or awards that I might receive along the
 way are icing on the cake!
One piece of cake that was recently offered
 is that of my own children's TV
 show currently in pre-production.

BIO'S

Deborah Smith Ford is an award-winning film and television actress.
Her background that helped prepare for an acting career were post-graduate studies in acting and communications plus multiple acting workshops.
Ford is also a writer who has authored the book series  "Allie's Adventures."

A few of Ford's many film and TV projects include:
 "Pose Down,"
 "S.O.L.I.S.,"
 "Miss Bonita Springs 1967,"
 "Shooting,"
 and Citracal (long running TV commercial with Ford portraying a farmer).

 This actress is currently an officer with United Film & Television Artists.
